Recently I conducted a Google Hangout OnAir with a group of pre service teachers from a military institution in South Carolina called The Citadel. I was joined by Diane Basanese, special education teacher at Black River Middle School in Chester, New Jersey and Chris McManus, owner of PeggNet Computers. The experience, was in a word, incredible. We took the group of seniors through the power of Google Classroom as a way to transform learning environments in the digital world. A question and answer period then took place after the brief tutorial. One recommendation I made to the up and coming educators was to become a Google Certified Educator. Not only would this distinction boost their resume, but it would also expose them to the many ways that Google Apps for Education can help promote the success of all students. There is no doubt that this is one of the most exciting times in education and that our future teachers are trying their best to stay current with emerging trends. Enjoy watching the archive...
