2014 was an incredibly busy and fulfilling year. I was able to connect with and learn from so many great people. I hope 2015 is even better. Here is a list of all the awesome things that went on in 2014:

  • My family was safe and healthy
  • Went on some great family vacations to the Jersey Shore and Amish Country
  • Coached my son in baseball and basketball
  • Coached Black River Middle School's softball team
  • Saw Black River MS redesignated as a School to Watch
  • Led efforts at Black River MS going 1:1 with Chromebooks
  • Named ASCD Emerging Leader
  • Wrote my first book titled All Hands on Deck: Tooks for Connecting Educators, Parents, and Communities.
  • Founded Evolving Educators LLC with Billy Krakower and Scott Rocco
  • Selected as a Thought Leader for Class Dojo
  • Recognized as a Bammy Award Finalist
  • Recorded many podcasts and webinars
  • Hosted #Satchat Radio on the Bam Radio Network
  • Spoke to pre-service teachers at Rider University
  • Spoke to high schools students about the teaching profession at Kean University
  • Presented at Edscape, NJAMLE, PadCamp, EdCampNJ, Techspo, NJASCD Leadership Summit, TechForum NY, NJPSA Fall Conference, EdCamp Leadership, and NJ School Boards.
  • Conducted live #Satchat sessions at NASSP Ignite '14, WeTech '14, EdCamp Leadership, ASCD L2L Conference, EdScape, and EdCamp NJ.
  • Wrote over 60 blog posts
  • Featured in The Journal, EdWeek, Education World, Scholastic, and SmartBrief

  • Worked on two books for Dave Burgess Consulting and The Bretzman Group that will be released in 2015.

I am sure that I forgot a few things. Keep fighting the good fight everyone! Make 2015 spectacular!

Wow Brad! Your ambition and drive is inspiring, but what I find most impressive is that you share the good work you do, and as a result, raise others (like me) up to see where we can still go as leaders. And...you're improving education, showing we are ALL LEARNERS.

Wishing you and yours a Happy and Healthy 2015!

Dennis
